I didn’t really know what to do, I was just excited and happy. It was a big moment in my life, it was a really big moment.

How did you react when Nicki Minaj and Pusha T got onboard the remix? What’s the most important thing that Mike has taught you so far? Every time we get in the lab, hits come out and it just happens naturally. It’s nothing but good vibes working with Mike WiLL and the entire Ear Drummer production team. What’s it like working in the studio with Mike? And then we played it for Mike WiLL and he liked it.

Me and my brothers were down in Carolina, we met up with a guy named P Nasty who is also from Tupelo, and we did some music with him. Jimmy derived his name from him driving the old school Jimmy truck back in Mississippi. I got my name because I have “swae”, which is undeniable style. How did you get the names Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee? The brothers are now in the midst of releasing their debut release, Sremm Life, which has been speculated to drop before the end of the year. Their career took a huge turn when Nicki Minaj and Pusha T jumped on board to make a remix of their single “No Flex Zone”. The pair produced two hit singles, which have rounded up almost 70 million plays on YouTube alone. With Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy being only 19 and 22 years old, they’ve quickly grown to become Mike WiLL’s new prodigies, with the music producer signing them to his own label, EarDrummers Entertainment. Hailing from Elvis Presley’s hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi, the brothers spent time living on the street before their raw beats and energetic personas were recognised by music producer Mike WiLL Made-It. Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy are the dynamic duo behind the up-and-coming hip hop group, Rae Sremmurd.
